The number of white water that must be drunk in a day


Each day you will lose body fluids through sweating, exhaling, urinating and defecating. In order for your body to function properly, you must replace the water by consuming foods and beverages that contain water. So how much water, or rather the liquid that you need?


This is not an easy question to answer. Daily fluid intake of healthy adults varies greatly. Most people drink fluid to quench thirst and to supply the needs of air.Setidaknya three approaches estimate total water intake for adults living in temperate climates.

Replacement approach to food
The average urine output for adults is 1.5 liters a day. You will lose 1 liter of water in the body for breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (about 8 cups), you can replace lost fluids.

Eight glasses of water a day
Another approach to water intake is the "8 x 8 rule" - drink eight 8 glasses of water a day (about 1.9 liters). Rules can also be stated, "drink eight 8 glasses of fluid a day," as all fluids count toward the daily total. Although this approach is not supported by scientific evidence, many people use the basic rules as guidelines for how much water and other fluids to drink.

The recommended dietary
Institute of Medicine recommends that men consume 3 liters (13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day. These guidelines are based on national food surveys that assessed the average take of fluid in the community.
